The Entrepreneurship Development Club at Musaliar college of engineering functions under the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). The club aims to inculcate entrepreneurial culture among youth and motivate students to consider entrepreneurship as a career option.

VISION

To develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture and to foster techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and employment.

Primary Goals

  • Create Entrepreneurial Awareness: Expose students to entrepreneurship as a viable career option beyond campus placements.
  • Develop Entrepreneurial Competencies: Build skills like risk-taking, opportunity identification, business planning, and financial literacy through hands-on activities.
  • Bridge Information Gap: Act as a one-point source for Govt schemes – PMEGP, CMEGP, MUDRA, KSUM YIP, NIDHI-PRAYAS, DIC subsidies.
  • Promote Self-Employment: Motivate students to start MSMEs/startups that create jobs instead of seeking jobs.
  • Link with Ecosystem: Connect students to DIC, KSUM, banks, successful entrepreneurs, and industry for mentoring & funding.

INSTITUTIONAL GOALS

  • Fulfill EDII Mandate: Conduct minimum 2 EACs/year with 75+ students each to retain ED Club registration.
  • Increase Startup Output: Ensure 3-5 student teams apply for KSUM YIP/PMEGP every year from college.
  • Industry Exposure: Organize 2+ industry/MSME visits per semester to understand real business operations.
  • Faculty as Facilitators: Train ED Club coordinator as certified Entrepreneurship Educator via EDII Ahmedabad.
  • Documentation: Maintain record of student ventures, schemes availed, for NAAC/NBA & DIC reporting.
