CHAIRMAN’S MUSALIAR SCHOLARSHIP

1. For very economically backward OBC, SC, ST and Forward Community

2. For students with outstanding merit in all subjects

3. For outstanding sports persons with state level participation

4. For students who secured state, national awards in language subject proficiency

Students those who receive government or other scholarships are not eligible under the above category.

Rate of Scholarship: Under Graduate Students: Rs.1000/- per month for (Subject to a Maximum of Rs. 10,000/- for an academic year) and Rs. 2000/- per month for Post-Graduate studies (Subject to a Maximum of Rs. 20,000/- for an academic year), provided they are selected for Scholarship at UG level.

Professional Courses: Rs.1000/- per month for the first three years (Subject to a Maximum of Rs. 10,000/- for an academic year) and Rs. 2000/- per month for the 4th and 5th years of study (Subject to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- for an academic year).

Eligibility:

(ii) Applicant should be pursuing any Regular Course at Under-Graduate Degree level in any recognized Educational Institution, including Professional Courses.

Parental income Both Father and Mother should not exceed Rs 6 lakhs per annum for the financial year.

(iv) Applicant should not be availing any other scholarships/ Financial Assistance.

SCHOLARSHIP  FOR SC|OEC|OBC(H)/OBC CATEGORY STUDENTS(E-GRANTZ) UNDER MERIT QUOTA.

Scheduled Castes(SC/ST) and other eligible Communities

Lumpsum grant, Monthly stipend (day scholars) ABLC + Pocket Money (hostelers) Reimbursement of Tuition Fee and examination fee in full without income limit.

Tuition fee and examination fee in respect of SC students will be directly credited to students’ bank accounts. These fees are to be paid to the institution when the amount is credited to their bank accounts by the government.

OBCs

Reimbursement of tuition fee and exam fee subject to income limit to BTech/MTech courses.

OBC category students who are admitted to MCA/MBA programs under merit quota are not eligible.

VIDYA SAMUNNITHI SCHOLORSHIP

Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forward Community offers Vidya Samunnathi Scholarship for students studying for professional courses.

 Eligibility Criteria:

1. Annual income of family should be less than Rs.2 lakh based on all sources.

2. Must be belongs to non-reservation forward community and a resident of Kerala.

 Scholarship amount: Rs.7000/- per year.

Students Insurance scheme

Students of admission to BTech courses are insured by college against accidents death, permanent disablement, etc with New India assurance company Ltd owned by government of India. In case of parents/guardians death due to accidents tuitions fees up to Rs50,000/- will be covered.

Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship Award

The following awards will be provided to the beneficiaries in this scholarship:-

  • The single-girl child scholarship provides monetary support on a monthly basis for a period of two years to 3,000 girls from across the country every year.
  • The scholarship amount is directly transferred into the awardee’s bank account.
  • Also, the students need to submit a ‘Continuation Certificate’ at the end of every three months in the prescribed format.
  • The selected girl students receive a scholarship amount of INR 3100 per month for a period of 2 years, i.e., 10 months per year, which covers the full duration of the postgraduate course to be pursued by the candidates.
  • The award is disbursed to students through the UGC-designated agency from the date of their joining the 1st year of the PG course. The awardees need to submit a copy of their award letter and joining report along with the photograph, address, and contact number to the designated agency.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

  • Applicants must be admitted into the regular, full-time 1st-year master’s degree course in any designated university or postgraduate college.
  • The girl candidate must be the only child of her parents. The candidates must not have any brothers, though the girl students who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughters may apply for this UGC scholarship.
  • Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age at the time of admission into the PG program.
  • The candidates admitted to the PG course through distance education mode are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Also, there are no income criteria for students to be eligible for this scholarship.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to be submitted in this scholarship:-

  • Students must be required to have an Income Certificate and a Caste Certificate.
  • Proof of admission is required.
  • Must be required bank account details of the institution and the student.
  • The fee structure of the program is required.
  • One copy of passport size photograph and signature of the student.
  • Student Identity card required.
  • An affidavit of ₹ 50 stamp paper from the parents/girl duly attested by the First Class Magistrate/ Gazetted Officer/ SDM mentioning that she is the only child in the family.

Terms and Conditions

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to apply for the scholarship:-

  • Only those candidates who are in the 1st year of a PG course are eligible for this UGC scholarship.
  • The candidates are not liable to receive any additional grant in lieu of hostel charges, medical charges, etc.
  • Under this single-girl child scholarship, the host institutes do not charge any tuition fee from the awardees.
  • After the completion of one year of the award of the scholarship amount, the candidates need to submit their Progress Report in the prescribed format to the designated bank (Canara Bank), based on which fund for the next academic year is released to the beneficiaries. This report needs to be duly signed by the Head of the Department and Registrar of the University or Head of the Institution or Principal of the College.
  • The candidates must keep in mind that if they discontinue their studies without prior notice to UGC, they need to refund the whole amount through e-mode (RTGS/NEFT) directly to the UGC account.
  • Applicants having the benefits of this scholarship can also apply for other scholarships.
  • The scholarship may be terminated if the candidates get involved in any kind of misconduct, provide incorrect information at any stage of the application or score less than 55% in the 1st year (50% in the case of Physically Challenged awardees).
SCHEME OF ‘MERIT CUM MEANS BASED SCHOLARSHIP’ FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES

1. OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.
