Dr.Bushra I did her B.sc Engineering in college of Engineering Trivandrum and M.Tech in Geotech Engineering from IIT, Madras. She took Ph.D on Geotech Engineering on “Compressibility and Strength characteristics of marine soil Treated with cement and fly ash” from IIT Madras.

Dr.Bushra I has 33 years of teaching experience. She became Non Cadre Professor in 1999. She became Cadre Professor in 2014.

Dr.Bushra I is an approved research guide in University of Kerala. She published research papers in various conferences and journals and chaired technical sessions for various International and national conferences. She bagged IGS-ONGC Biannual prize for the best paper on Marine Geotechnical Engineering for the years 2010-2011. She was a reviewer for papers in different internationals and National conferences. She was a Co-investigator of project titled Electrokinetic stabilization of Kuttanad clay under Teqip.II. Her area of consultancy includes field surveys, site investigation and Ground improvement Techniques. She is the editor of the Proceeding of the Second International Conferences on Modeling and Simulations held at T.K.M College of engineering during 12th-14th Dec’ 2013.

She is a Life member of Indian society of Technical Education and a life member of India Geotechnical society.
