Report on the inauguration of Department Association – ‘SAMYOGA’

Food Technology Department Association ‘SAMYOGA’ inaugural event was conducted on 07/072022. Dr. Thara C M, Head, Department of Food Technology welcomed the gathering. The association was inaugurated by Dr. Aashithosh A Inamdhar, Hon. Vice President AFSTI, HQ (Sr. Principal Scientist, Flour Milling, CFTRI, Mysore). Dr. K K Abdul Rasheed, Principal, Musaliar College of Engineering, presided over the function. Guests of Honour, Dr. Nandini P Shetty, Hon secretary AFSTI, HQ, (Principal Scientist, Department of Plant Cell Biotechnology, CFTRI, Mysore) and Mr. Basavaraja M. Hon Treasurer, AFSTI, HQ, (Sr. Technical Officer, CFTRI, Mysore) felicitated and interacted with the students about the scope and relevance of Food Technology. Mrs. Shema Hanna Mathew Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology gave an introduction about the functioning of the association and the program ended by vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Pravisha Pradeep, S2 student of Food Technology.

Association of Food Technology committed to the overall development of food technology students, by organizing various events. The main objective of the association is1. To provide platform for students to explore their skills and knowledge through curricular and extra-curricular activities in the field of Food Technology.In addition to it, Samyoga aims

1.To organize training programs/ seminars and workshops on latest technology to enhance the technical skill-set of students.

2. To enrich and empower the minds of students by conducting technical Quizzes /Competitions regularly.

3. To organize the Technical, Non-Technical events to improve the leadership quality among the students.

4.  To motivate students and fellow beings about the importance and relevance of healthy and nutritious food practices in the current scenario.

5. Students to take part in the development of innovative and healthy processed foods.
