                                     DEPARTMENT OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY



The Department of Food Technology, Musaliar College of Engineering, organized an Expert Talk on the topic “Prospectus of Food Technology” on 25/11/2021 at 11 am. The speaker of the day was  Dr. Prabodh S Halde, Head Regulatory, R &D Marico who joined the session online in G meet Platform.The programme started with the welcome speech by the respected Principal, Dr. K K Abdhul Rasheed. Dr. Thara C M, HOD  and  Ms. Shema Hanna Mathew, Department Faculty carried on the session. The number of participants for the programme was 48 including students and faculties of Food Technology, Musaliar College of Engineering, Chirayinkeezhu and Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam.

The session was highly inspiring and motivating. The emerging trends and the historic evolution of Food technology was highlighted by the distinguished speaker in the talk. Grooming for the new batch students to the Food Technology department was aimed through the session and resulted the same by giving a clear vision about the opportunities in food Industry. The agricultural sector and its importance in day today life were also discussed in the session.

Apart from this, the speaker also focused on the beneficial points and tips for students to concentrate on their studies and to achieve their goals. The talk was concluded by giving a meaningful idea to students about food industry and its innovations. At the end of the talk a great motivation was given by the speaker to achieve a successful career. The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by HOD, Food Technology.
